Charles J. Karns, 82, of Osterburg, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Pennknoll Village, Everett.

Charles was born in Cumberland on October 8, 1943, son of the late Roy and Katherine (Mellott) Karns.

On January 15, 1966, he married his wife Sally J. (Ranker) Karns, of Everett.

He is survived by his siblings: Anna Karns, of Bedford; Lawrence Karns, of Bedford; Roy (Debbie) Karns, of Martinsburg; Mike Karns, of Bedford; and Tim Karns, of Bedford. Charles is preceded in death by baby boy Karns, who passed away on September 10, 1982, and his siblings: Leroy, Ed, Janet, and Kathy.

Charles served his country in the United States Army, from 1965-1967. He was employed at JLG until retirement. Charles enjoyed woodworking and crafts.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 1 PM at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford.

Interment will be at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford.

Military rites accorded to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
