Christy L. Harshberger, 69, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

Christy was born in Johnstown on April 15, 1957, daughter of the late John and Betty (Gibbons) Beatty. 

On February 12, 1998, she married her husband Rickie Harshberger, of Schellsburg.

She is survived by daughter- Krista (Edwards) wife of Jaime Cernansky, of Macungie, PA; son- Frederick H. Edwards III husband of Kristy (Minnick), of Gerrardstown, WV; granddaughter- Ellie Grace Edwards and siblings: Denice (Ed) Rummell, of Johnstown; Darlene (Bob) Harbaugh, of Lancaster; David (Lou) Beatty, of Johnstown. Christy is preceded in death by sisters: Joyce and Valerie.

Christy was a member of Christ Victory Church in New Buena Vista. Christy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her boisterous laugh, friendly personality and her amazing gobs, pumpkin rolls and no bakes. She especially loved spending time with her children and granddaughter. She and her husband enjoyed watching deer eat from their pear tree. She always looked forward to spring so she could feed the hummingbirds.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Christy L. Harshberger to the American Cancer Society.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
