Clarence H. "Jiggers" Miller

Mr. Clarence H. "Jiggers" Miller, 88, of Cortland Road, Schellsburg, died Thursday, October 6th, 2016 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Miller was born in Napier Township on Monday, May 14, 1928,  the son of the late Harry L. and Martha J. (Evans) Miller.

On July 17, 1954, he married K. Maxine (Ellenberger) Miller.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Terry W. husband of  Cindy (Simmons) Miller, Schellsburg; Daughter- Julie L. wife of  Jimmy Huffman, Bedford; Daughter- Susan D. Turner, Bedford; Granddaughter-  Amanda D. Turner; Sister- Virginia Gorga, Prospect Park; Sister- Carrie Thorton, Ohio; Sister- Abigail Waugerman, Manns Choice; Sister-in-Law- Elizabeth Miller, Bedford; Sister-in-Law- Margaret Miller, Schellsburg.  Jiggers was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Theresa Jane, five brothers, Robert, Nelson, Lester, Harry Jr. & Foster and a sister Bernice Oldham.

Jiggers served in the US Navy during W.W.II.  He was employed as a wholesale driver for Sealtest for 14 years and as a shift foreman for Westinghouse in Bedford for 19 years, retiring in 1988.  He was a member of the United Church of Schellsburg.  Jiggers was also a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113, the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440 and the Old Log Church Society in Schellsburg.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother and he will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 with Mr. Jim Miller officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
