David Allen Turner

Mr. David Allen Turner, 88, of Main Road, Bedford, died Sunday, January 22nd, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Turner was born in Friends Cove on January 25, 1928,  the son of the late Andrew Earl and Sara (Hartman) Turner.

On May 10, 1958, he married Marlene (Diehl) Turner.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Brother- Robert Harry Turner husband of  Erma, New Mexico; Brother- Joseph Earl Turner husband of  Pat (Carroll), Frederick, MD  and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Jean Downing

Allen was a member of the Friends Cove United Church of Christ.  He served in the US Army from 1946 through 1947.  He then went on to serve in the US Air Force during the Korean War.  Allen was employed as a mechanic for East End Tractor.  He loved hunting and fiahing. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend and he will be missed.

A funeral service will be held privately at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

Interment will be held at Friends Cove United Church of Christ Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
