Donald V. Hillegass

Mr. Donald V. Hillegass, 75, of Allegheny Road, Manns Choice, went home to be with his Lord & Savior on Friday, April 1st, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Hillegass was born in Juniata Township on Friday, August 30, 1940,  the son of the late Millard C. and Della I. (Lowery) Hillegass.

On June 13, 1964, he married Nancy E. (Kerr) Hillegass.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Connie S. Hillegass and friend Ronald L. Haas, Annapolis, MD; Daughter- Sherri A.. wife of Kirk W. Clear, Ashburn, VA; Son- John M. husband of Jill Hillegass, Round Rock, TX; Grandchildren- Kaitlin, Tabitha, Morgan Jordan, Carson & Emilie; Brother- Millard D. "Son" husband of Janet (Mowry) Hillegass, Manns Choice; Sister- Janet I. wife of  William Mowry, Manns Choice.

Don was a 1958 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and served in the US Army.  He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church in Ellerslie, MD.  Don was employed for 29 1/2 years as a press operator at Standard Register and retired after 6 1/2 years of employment at JLG Industries.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend and he will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 with Pastor Greg Miller & Pastor Ken Korns officiating.

Interment will be held at Dry Ridge Cemetery.  Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
