Douglas L. Godwin

Mr. Godwin was born in Andalusia, AL on Monday, June 3, 1935, the son of the late Delmus and Thelma Godwin.
Doug served in the US Air Force for over 20 years, serving during the Vietnam War and retiring as a Technical Sergeant. He then worked at Rockland Manufacturing in Bedford as a welder.
He was the husband of Margaret Diane (Neptune) Godwin.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Theresa R. Cragan, Bedford; Daughter- Mary Kate Godwin, Bedford; Daughter- Violet Timmons, MD; Son- Huston Godwin, Bedford. He is also survived by five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Godwin
A Graveside Service will be held at at Bedford County Memorial Park at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 10th, 2011 with Pastor Grace Whitfield officiating.
Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
