Eleanor J. Howsare, 78, of Buffalo Mills, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Bedford Post Acute, Bedford.

Eleanor was born in Bedford on November 15, 1947, daughter of the late Stanford and Edith (Horn) Holland.

She is survived by daughter- Patricia A. Howsare, of Bedford; daughter- Pamela A. Benton, of Bedford; step-daughter- Ahrial, of OR; grandson- Tyler Benton, of FL; brother- Robert Holland, of Bedford; numerous cousins; and former husband Ron Curtis, of Bedford. Eleanor is preceded in death by 1st husband Homer Howsare, infant brother- Stanford, and cat Nikki.

She graduated from Bedford High School in 1965, and from ACM in 1981 with Masters Summa Cum Laude in Media Technology. She was a seamstress, writer/reporter, costume designer and many years as an Antique Restoration Artist for dealers and collectors.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
