Ellen Joanne (Shirley) Herrit

Ellen "Joanne" Herrit,85, of Business 220, Bedford, died Monday, August 24, 2020 at home.

Mrs. Herrit was born in Indiana, PA on March 21, 1935, daughter of the late David B. and Bertha (Watt) Shirley.

She is survived by  Son- David L. Sumner, Bedford; Son- Alex D. Sumner, Charleston, SC; 4 grandchildren and 1st husband Jettie B. Sumner, Tampa, FL. Joanne was preceded in death by son- Thomas L. Sumner, 2 sisters- Maxine Brown and Jean Pierce and 2 brothers- Bill Shirley and Gerald Shirley.

She retired from Beneficial Financial where she was a Loan Officer.

Joanne was a member of  Bedford Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
