Floyd C. Cornell

Floyd "Abe" C. Cornell, 89, of Everett, went home to be with the lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Floyd was born in Bedford on November 17, 1934, son of the late Phillp A. and Lydia (Foreman) Cornell.

On October 19, 1957, he married his wife Freda M. (Fochtman) Cornell.

He is survived by daughter- Connie A. wife of Russell Davis, of Bedford; son- Rickey L. husband of Bonnie (Oldman) Cornell, of Bedford; son- Kevin C. husband of Jill (Fix) Cornell, of Bedford; daughter- Marty M. wife of Todd Fleener, of Bedford; along with 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Floyd is preceded in death by brothers: Melvin, Clarence, John, Albert, Robert, infant brother Phillip and sisters: Helen Ritchey, Betty Clark and infant sister Anna Louise.

He was a Truck Driver at New Enterprise Stone and Lime for 42.5 years. Floyd was a devoted husband, loving father, and enjoyed spending time with his family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 3-7 PM and on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 10-11 AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 11 AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Shrout officiating.

Interment will be at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford.
