Frances A. (Smith) Pensyl

Mrs. Frances A. Pensyl, 87, of  Main St., Osterburg, died Thursday, July 23rd, 2015 at The Village at Morrison Cove, Martinsburg.

Mrs. Pensyl was born in Kimmel Township on Saturday, May 19, 1928,  the daughter of the late Nelson and Mary Elizabeth (Kimmel) Smith.

On July 31, 1948, she married Carl W. Pensyl.  He preceded her in death on August 17, 2008.

She is survived by  Daughter- Helen D. wife of  Fred Kirby, Shippensburg; Son- Gary W. husband of  Brenda (Twigg) Pensyl, Buffalo Mills; Son- Ricky W. husband of  Helen (Johnston) Pensyl, Buffalo Mills; Son- Mark C. widower of  Doris (James) Pensyl, Osterburg; Son- Dale F. husband of  Donna (Campbell) Pensyl, Hyndman; Son- Charles E. husband of Leann (Wheland) Pensyl, Altoona; Daughter- Amy E. wife of  Kevin Naugle, Osterburg. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia A. King, two sister, Pearl Cameron & Betty Weyant and by two brothers, Roy Smith & Harold Smith.

Mrs. Pensyl was a member of the Tulls Hill Bible Church.  She was a homemaker and worked as an aid at the County Home.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and she will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 27th, 2015 with Pastor Dan Campbell officiating.

Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the funeral home in Bedford.
