Glendon Harry "Griff" Griffith

July 12, 1938 — December 28, 2010

Mr. Glendon Harry "Griff" Griffith, 72, of Hoover Road, Schellsburg, went home to be with the Lord at 7:15 AM, Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Griffith was born in Juniata Township on Tuesday, July 12, 1938,  the son of the late Harry and Stella (Suder) Griffith.

On March 21, 1959, he married Mary Belle (Frazier) Griffith.  They have shared a marriage of over 51 years.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Sonia wife of  Eric Sipes, Schellsburg; Daughter- Vicki wife of  Christopher Wilbur, Mechanicsburg; Son- Greg husband of  Erin (Yingling) Griffith, Imler; Son- Jeff Griffith companion of  Mary Thersa Wright, Bedford; Daughter- Wendy wife of  Michael Snyder, Schellsburg; Sister- Faye wife of  Jim Whysong, Manns Choice; Brother- Paul  Griffith, Schellsburg. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Misty Peck, Derick Koontz, Shawn Wilbur, Kyle Wilbur, Dodie Archdeacon, Adam Snyder, Audrea Snyder, Steven Griffith, Alex Griffith, Brian Griffith and Kyle Griffith, and three great grandchildren, Alexis and Logan Peck and Vance Koontz. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Griffith

Griff was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God.  He was employed as a manager for Automotive Supply in Everett and worked as a diesel mechanic both McQuaide's in Johnstown and Wakemans Garage.  He was also a night foreman at Shaw Mack in Bedford.

Griff was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  .

A Funeral Service will be held at Manns Choice Church of God at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 31st,2010 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
