Harry J. "Pop" Nunamaker

Mr. Harry J. "Pop" Nunamaker, 86, of Country Ridge Road, Bedford died at 3:00 AM, Friday, March 4th, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Nunamaker was born in Rainsburg on Monday, June 2, 1924, son of the late Carl and Ora Gibson.
On June 2, 1948, he married Lulu Jean (Smith) Nunamaker. She preceded him in death on January 18, 2008.
He is survived by Daughter- Barbara L. wife of Mearl May, Fishertown; Daughter- Katherine M. wife of William Mearkle, Bedford; Son- Larry J. husband of Lisa (Blattenberger) Nunamker, Bedford; Daughter- Janet J. wife of Martin Nolan, Bedford; Son- Gary L. husband of Lori (Riehl) Nunamaker, Osterburg; Son- Terry D. Nunamaker, Bedford; Step Son- Norman D. Smith, Everett; Step Daughter- Anna Belle Smith, VA; Step Daughter- Phyllis wife of Don Mitchell, New Paris. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother Lester Nunamaker and two sisters, Martha Gibson and Ruth Spiker
Harry was of the Baptist Faith. He worked as a fuel man for Eastern Express for 16 years and then as a janitor at Hedstrom in Bedford for fifteen and a half years. Pop was a workaholic, but in his free time he liked to garden.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 7th, 2011 with Pastor Wayne Magruder officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
