Hilda "Leotta" (Neatrour) Taylor

Hilda Leotta Taylor passed away quietly in her sleep on July 3, 2023, at the Hilltop Nursing Home in Winchester, VA, where she was under palliative care for pancreatic disease.

She was born in 1929 in Johnstown, PA to Englebert Lewis Neatrour and Jenny Saxon Neatrour. “Leotta” as she liked to be called, was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer Emory Taylor.

She is survived by her three children, Karol Irene, Pamela Ann, and Lynn Wayne, and a plethora of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Leotta loved to cook and was known for cooking at Pleasantville Elementary School and also Chestnut Ridge High School and Middle School.

She is especially remembered for her meals at the annual Bethel Park Campground each summer, where she found a way to feed many people on a limited budget.

A viewing will take place at 12:00 pm Thursday, July 6, at Louis Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford, PA, after which the interment will be held at the Mount Union cemetery in Lovely, PA.
