H. Lee Cessna

Mr. H. Lee  Cessna, 86, of Valley Road, Bedford, died Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 at Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg.

Mr. Cessna was born in Bedford on Tuesday, August 26, 1930,  the son of the late William W. and Goetha (May) Cessna.

On July 8, 1953, he married Anna Louise (Ickes) Cessna.  She preceded him in death on June 15, 2015.

He is survived by  Son- Clarence "Sid" husband of  Linda (Booth) Cessna, Litchfield, OH; Son- Jeffrey husband of  Victoria (Stoops) Cessna, Santa Ana, CA; Grandchildren- Brent, Jodi , Holly, Erik, Drew & Shannon; Great Grandchildren- Anna, Colin, Finn, Madison & Eliana; Sister- Edna "Pet" Howsare, Rainsburg; Brother- George Cessna, Nebraska; Brother- Lloyd "Tex" husband of  Shirley (Wolfe) Cessna, Charlesville; Sister- Becky wife of  Bill Wolfe, Friends Cove; Brother- Lawrence "Rabbit" Cessna, Rainsburg; Brother- Wesley "Pink" Cessna, Rainsburg.  He was preceded in death by brothers, William "Pud" Cessna, Dale Cessna & Clarence "Sambo" Cessna and by a sister, Joan King.

Lee was employed as a truck driver for Trans American for 23 years.  He served in the Merchant Marines for nine years.  Lee was a member of the Teamsters Local 407 Cleveland and a lifetime member and benefactor of the NRA.  He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  Lee will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Clara's Place Restaurant, Bedford, at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 10th, 2016.

Interment will be held at  Woods Church Cemetery, Colerain Twp.
