James Harry Otto, 84, formerly of Alum Bank, of Everett, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family as he waited for his wife to fall asleep.

Jim was born in Alum Bank on February 24, 1942, son of the late Harry and Anna (Claycomb) Otto. On November 15, 1962, he married his wife Judy A. (Yarnell) Otto, formerly of Lovely.

Jim is preceded in death by daughter- Robin J. Tate; siblings: Barbara A. Lewis and Robert Otto. He is survived by son- Todd J. Otto, of Bedford; siblings: Larry E. Otto, of Alum Bank; Betty J. Barefoot, of New Paris; Susan Sea, of Bedford; Deborah Levadnuk, of Raleigh, Anita Wendell, of Everett; four grandchildren: Domenic, Trey, Hailey and Gabriel; four great-grandchildren: Olivia, Izzy, Breckston, and Owen; and son-in-law- Tom Tate.

Jim managed the Breezewood Gulf Station for 15 years and then was a mechanic at Bob Foor Subaru, finally retiring from Interchange Parts as the salesman. Jim was very talented in everything he did. He played baseball (switch hitter, pitched and shortstop); basketball (could shoot and handle a ball). Jim learned how to make Bedford County Muzzle loaders in 1976, he built numerous and then started restoring cars. Jim was an avid Ford Man.

The family would like to extend love and appreciation to all the family, friends, and caring people who were there to support them during this difficult time.
