James Wayne "Jim" Hahn, 79, of Reynoldsdale passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at his home on Reynoldsdale Road, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Jim was born in Alum Bank on December 22, 1943, son of the late Harry H. "Bub" and Evelyn (Mock) Hahn.

On July 30, 1964, Jim married Daris (Spicer) and they were looking forward to celebrating 60 years together.  Jim was a man of God and of few words.  His actions spoke for him.  He had a wonderful family and was known as a person that would help in any way possible.  He was a devoted father and grandfather.  Spending time with his grandchildren brought him joy.  He cherished spending time with his mother-in-law, Grammie (Hazel Mae) and his numerous sister in laws.

He is survived by son, Harry James, husband of Jennifer (Geib), of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Karen Sue "Susie", of Reynoldsdale; daughter, Angela Jo, wife of Andrew Mowry, of Schellsburg; and Sarah McCloskey (Gojkozich), of Arizona.  Sara became an important part of our family and was considered a daughter and sister.  Survived by four grandchildren: Maxwell James, Payden Drew, Alecsis Paige, and Alicia Marie; sister, Shirley A. wife of Norman Myers, of South Fork and her sons; Mark and Mathew.

Jim was affiliated with the Spring Meadow Worship Center where he was a board member.  He enjoyed helping out around his church in any way possible.

Jim proudly served his country for 4 years in the United States Navy.

He was an independent owner and operator for 32 years.  Jim was a Mack truck lover, his B75 Mack with a Caterpillar conversion was well known.  Upon retirement, Jim joined the BCARS (Bedford County Amateur Radio Society) Ham Radio Club and had numerous friends across the globe.   He shared his love for Ham radio with his grandson, Max.

The memorial service will be held at Spring Meadow Worship Center on Oct 7 at 3 pm with a 1-3 pm visitation prior to the service. Light refreshments will be offered.
