James "Jim" C. Whysong

James "Jim" C. Whysong, 87, of Manns Choice, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Maple Heights Health and Rehab Center, Ebensburg, PA.

James was born in Pavia on March 4, 1938, son of the late Sheldon C. and Marie (Feathers) Whysong.

In 1968, Jim married Faye L. (Griffith) Whysong, who preceded him in death on May 18, 2012.

He is survived by brother- Leon (Dollie) Whysong, of Bedford; sister- Floss (Bernie) Miller, of Claysburg; sister- Anna (Barry) Kaughman, of Imler; sister-in-law- Jean Whysong; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by: brother- Dorn Whysong and nephew- Justin.

Jim served in the United States Army from September 13, 1961 to September 12, 1963. He loved cars, making furniture and deer hunting.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 10-11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg with Pastor Keith Showalter officiating.

Interment will be at Schellsburg Cemetery, Schellsburg, PA.

Military rites accorded to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
