Janet L. Clapper

Janet L. Clapper,  66, of Bedford,  passed away at 4:45 PM , Sunday, June 17th, 2018 at home.

Janet was born in Bedford,  on April 18, 1952,  she was the daughter of the late Roy A. and Luella (Furman) Karns.

She was a cook at the Bedford Springs and a homemaker.  Janet loved playing BINGO, watching Sprint Car racing and painting.  She was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate Fan.

She is survived by Son- Michael Karns, Bedford; Daughter- Dena Norris, New Paris; Brother- Roy Karns, Jr, Martinsburg; Brother- Lawrence Karns, Bedford; Brother- Timothy Karns, Bedford; Sister- Annamarie Karns, Bedford; Sister- Catherine Border, Schellsburg; Brother- Leroy Karns, Roaring Spring; Brother- Charles Karns, Osterburg. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren-Darren & Brittany Norris, and 1 great grandson-Keyser Norris.  She was preceded in death by a brother Edward Karns.

A Memorial Service will be held at at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, PA. at 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 21st,2018  with Jennifer Murphy officiating.
