Janet Mae Fetter

Janet Mae Fetter, 95, of Bedford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 4th, 2025 surrounded by family.

Janet Mae was born on November 28th, 1929, daughter of the late John and Grace (Holler) Imler.

On January 28th, 1949, she was married to the late Paul W. Fetter. They celebrated 67 years of marriage until Paul's passing in 2016.

She is survived by five sons: Roger married to MaryAnn, of Bedford; Rodney married to Debe, of Carlisle; Ricky married to Wanda, of Bedford; Randy married to Cathy, of Bedford and Ryan married to Tricia, of Bedford; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and counting. She is preceded in death by her siblings William Imler, Herbert Imler, Thelma (Imler) Taylor and Earl Imler.

Janet Mae spent many of her working years as a homemaker raising the children and working as a waitress at the Coach Room Restaurant in Bedford and as cook for the Bedford Area School District. She retired in 1989.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Bible Church, where she also served as Treasurer and Sunday School teacher for many years.

She enjoyed spending her time being a homemaker, spending time with family and friends, particularly during holidays and birthdays where she would cook large meals. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 3-7 PM, and on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 10-11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford.

Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Bible Church Cemetery in Imlertown.
