Mrs. Jeanne B. Kmetz, 92, of Dunnings Creek Road, New Paris, died Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 at home.

Mrs. Kmetz was born in Belgium on Monday, September 30, 1923,  the daughter of the late Louis and Blanche (Brochard) Counet.

On September 15, 1945, she married Francis L. "Fritz" Kmetz.  He preceded her in death on October 27, 2000.

She is survived by  Daughter- Frances wife of  James McKenzie, Bend, OR; Daughter- Jeanne wife of  Donald McGowan, Garner, NC; Daughter- Florence "Janie" wife of  Richard Walker, Alum Bank; Daughter- Sandra wife of  Joseph Black, New Paris; Daughter- Antoinette Terek and significant other Bryan McCarty, East Freedom; Daughter- Annette wife of  Byron Berkey, Fishertown; Daughter- Marie wife of  Troy Hessom, Temecula, CA; Sister- Nellie; Brother- Robert. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Frankie Walker.

Jeanne was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Johnstown.  She worked as a checker at Best Form and worked in the cafeteria at the Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.  Jeanne loved her flower garden and spending time with her family.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She will be missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 30th,2016 with Pastor Robert Smith officiating.

Entombment will be held at St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Johnstown.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Pleasantville.
