Mr. Jesse R. Young, 68, of Evitts Creek Road, Centerville, died at 2:30 AM, Sunday, August 12th, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Young was born in Friends Cove on Monday, February 28, 1944, the son of the late Mike and Evelyn C. (Stiffler) Young.
On March 1, 1968, he married Bonnie Virginia (Yaider) Young. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2001.
He is survived by Son- Kevin D. husband of Terry "Nicky" (Wyles) Young, Bedford; Son- Shannon J. husband of Lori (Shaffer) Young, Centerville; Daughter- Dorothy E. wife of Dave Kagarise, Centerville; five grandchildren, Jessica and Robin Kagarise, Blair and Calvin Young and Eddie Young and by a special nephew, Ernie Shade. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael H. Young, a granddaughter, Kaityn, a brother, Ralph Vernon Young and a sister, Phyllis Shade-Taylor
Jesse was a truck driver, working first for Mike Kidd Trucking and retiring from H. Eugene Koontz Bulk Milk.
A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 16th, 2012 with Pastor Adam Kravets officiating.
Interment will be held at Union Cemetery, Centerville.
Friends on invited to call on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Young to the Cumberland Valley Township Volunteer Fire Department, 4344 Bedford Valley Road Bedford, PA 15522.
