John W. Wilson, 71, of New Paris, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
John was born in Bedford on November 16, 1952, son of the late Harry and Mary (Wolfhope) Wilson.
On December 23, 1972, he married his wife Betty (Claycomb).
He is survived by daughter- Amy M. wife of Chris Fochtman, of New Paris; son- Thad J. husband of Kelly (MacIntyre) Wilson, of New Paris; brother- Russell E. Wilson, of York; sister- Ruthann Rose, of Saint Louis, MO; brother- Mark Potts, of Bedford; and brother Joe Wilson; along with three grandchildren: Gabe, Addy, and Evelyn.
He worked at Chestnut Ridge School District in maintenance for over 30 years.
John was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved spending time with his grandkids.
At the request of John, services will be private.
