Joyce Ann Ansell

Joyce Ann Ansell, 75, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at her home on Skipback Road, Schellsburg, PA.

Joyce was born in Windber on April 28, 1948, daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Hankinson) Hillegass.

On December 11, 1976, she married her husband Lee W. Ansell.

She is survived by daughter-Kimberlee wife of Ronnie Herline, of Alum Bank; son- Christopher husband of Stacey (McKnight) Ansell, of Schellsburg; son- Joshua husband of Natalie (Rietscha) Ansell, of Manns Choice; brother- Henry A. widower of Thelma (Leister) Hillegass, of Schellsburg; brother- Joseph husband of Beverly (Welsh) Hillegass, of Schellsburg; along with grandchildren: Leslee, Shawnelle, Dorian (Morgan), Armand (Bethany), Alexander, Riley, Hunter, CJ, Hayden and two great-grandchildren: Aidyn and Wyatt.

Joyce was a member of St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore.

She graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in the class of 1966 and then went on to graduate from the Tri-County Beauty School in 1967. She was employed at Bedford Springs as a bookkeeper, and volunteered for the Shawnee Valley Ambulance in the late 1990's as a driver for a number of years.

A visitation will be held Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 4-7 PM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A visitation will be held Monday, January 22, 2024, from 9:30-10:00 AM at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10 AM at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Mark Pattock-Celebrant.

Committal service will be at Schellsburg Cemetery, Schellsburg.
