She is preceded in death by her husband Dick, whom she married on March 15, 1968, as well as Robert Swartwelder, Father; Edythe Swartzwelder, Mother; Barbara Wilson, Sister; and, Bill McCann who was technically a nephew but was more like a brother.

They include her sister Sally (Carl Claar); daughters Patti (John Lengel) and Sandie (Rick Lewis); granddaughters Alexis Lengel and Zoey Lewis; grandsons Dallas DeWitt and Brett Lengel, and nephews Robert Wilson, Jeff Wilson and Brandin Claar.
Kaye was extremely close with Dick's 7 siblings and their families.  She is preceded in death by Dick's brother John Will, brothers-in-law Kenny Faust, Bob Bolton, Nick Wise, George Baker and nephews Bobbie Mellott and Johnny Will.  She is survived by Dicks's sisters Pat Baker, Joyce Wise, Gloria ("Sis") Mellott, Linda Davis and Barb Bolton; brother Robert; sisters-in-law Linda Will and Debra Will; brothers-in-law Guy Mellott and Ronnie Davis; and, many nieces and nephews she loved very much.
Kaye graduated with a degree in nursing from Allegheny Community College in 1973.  She began her 45-year career in healthcare working as an RN at Smith's Nursing Home, Sacred Heart Hospital, Donahoe Nursing Home and Pennknoll Village.  She later went on to become the Director of Nursing at Pennknoll Village.  The final chapter of her career included working as a Health Facility Quality Examiner for the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Kaye enjoyed many things. In her early years, she loved to roller skate, swim, dance and ride her horse.  Many of these she did with her lifelong best friend Patty Edwards Seeders.  She loved animals. Her beloved Bella was her favorite. Kaye was an avid bowler and bowled on a variety of leagues at Chalybeate Bowling Lanes for many years. Kaye enjoyed gardening and took great pride in the trees and flowers in her backyard.  However, above all else, she enjoyed spending time with family.  Everything from Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's Eve get-togethers to family camping trips to having some of her nieces come and spend a couple of weeks with them every summer to family reunions to Friday night dinners that included talking about nothing and everything at the same time, much laughter and music and maybe even some dancing.
