Kendall Kilbourn Koelle

Kendall Kilbourn Koelle, 85  of Louella  Road, died on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Donahoe Manor.  He was born in Philadelphia on July 18, 1931 to the late William F. and Lois (Kilbourn) Koelle.  He was educated in the Philadelphia area and then served in the US Army during the Korean War.  Ken worked for Sears until his retirement.

The love of his life was the late Waldtraut "Wally" (Kirchner) Koelle, whom he married on May 28, 1966 and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2012.  He is survived by his sister, Marcia K. Moffett and her husband, William and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Craig Kilbourn Moffett.

After living in New Jersey for many years, Ken & Wally moved to Bedford, their favorite place.  Ken was a member of the Pleasant Hill Bible Church and served faithfully.  He dearly loved the Lord and look forward to the day he would be with Him.  Ken enjoyed books, history and he loved spending time talking to people.  He was thoughtful, kind & generous and he was always so very thankful for his friends who were so good to him.

A Memorial Service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 1:30 PM on Monday, August 1st, 2016 with Mr. Joseph Hinson officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 1:00 - 1:30 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
