Kenneth W. "Ken" Fisher, 73, of Schellsburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Born May 26, 1953, in Everett, he was the son of the late Earl A. and Ella Mary Egolf Fisher.

Ken was a 1971 graduate of Chestnut Ridge Senior High School and later graduated from Penn Tech as an electrician. He went on to a long and steady career with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, where he worked for 35 years until his retirement. During those years, he first served as an electrician and later as an equipment operator, bringing dedication and dependability to his work.

A very social person, Ken enjoyed talking, visiting, and spending time with friends. He took pride in providing for his family and in being self-sufficient, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He cared deeply for people and often showed that care through regular visits and friendship. Ken especially enjoyed visits and time spent with his special friend and cousin, Paul Beltz. Those who knew him will remember his easy conversation, his kindness, and the genuine way he stayed connected to others, often becoming quick friends with complete strangers.

Ken found much happiness in the outdoors and in time spent with the people he loved. Camping with his wife and grandsons was one of his favorite ways to spend his time. He enjoyed golfing and spent many years in a league at Northwinds Golf Course, where he made many friends. He was an accomplished turkey hunter and enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, and fishing with his brother, his grandsons, and his father during his father's lifetime. In his younger years, he also enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball with the Kase Beverage team.

His family was the center of he and his wife's life. Among his proudest accomplishments were his daughters and grandsons. He was proud of the people they grew to become, and that pride was evident in the love and encouragement he gave them through the years.

Ken is survived by his wife of 52 years, Georgina "Gigi" Armstrong, Fisher, whom he married on October 13, 1973; three daughters, Manda Leonard and husband Brian of Berlin, Julie Hoffman and husband Eric of Pittsburgh, and Kelly Winegardner and husband Adam of Chambersburg; four grandsons, Nathan Leonard, Caleb Leonard, Levi Leonard, and Lucas Winegardner; his brother, Steve Fisher and wife Donna of Osterburg; one niece, Stacey Whysong and husband Dan of New Paris; two grandnieces, Ava and Ella Whysong; and numerous cousins and close friends.

Ken's life was rooted in the love of his family, and his memory will remain close to those who knew him best. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Geisel-Styer Funeral Home, 3779 Pitt St., Schellsburg, PA 15559. Following the visitation, there will be a private service for the immediate family. Interment will be in Schellsburg Cemetery.
