Leona G. (Clark) Hillegass

Leona G. Hillegass, 93, of Bedford, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View, Manchester, MD.

Leona was born in Everett on January 10, 1930, daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle (Layton) Clark.

She married her husband Earl Lowe, who preceded her in death. She married her second husband Eugene Greenawalt, who preceded her in death. She also had companion Phillip Lamont Smith, of 30 years.

She is survived by daughter- Linda wife of Kyle Dickens, of Manchester, MD.; son- John R. husband of Shirley (Hillegass) Lowe, of Bedford; son- James E. husband of Kathleen (Pricer) Lowe, of East Berlin; son- George A. husband of Donna (Holler) Greenawalt, of Manns Choice; daughter- Debra wife of John Clark, of SC.; son- David husband of Cara (Walters)Greenwalt, of Bedford; along with 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by infant daughter- Sharon Lowe, daughter- Karen M. Nicholsn and two sisters: Lavene and Rosenannbaug.

She was a Seamstress at Eleanors and worked at the FairFoot ShoeFactory. She also worked at the Chicopee Restaurant, for many years. She enjoyed playing the guitar, her favorites were Country and Hillbilly.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Interment will be at Schellsburg Cemetery, Schellsburg.
