Marie Pearl (Herline) Davis

Mrs. Marie Pearl Davis, age 86, of Bedford, died at 10:24  PM , Saturday, January 1st, 2011 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Davis was born in Napier Twp.,  on Saturday,  April 19, 1924,  she was the daughter of the late Henry   and Alice (Defibaugh) Herline.

She was a  housewife.. Marie had a great love for farming and animals, especially her horses, She had worked with horses most of her life until her illness.  A special place in her heart was reserved for her grandchildren, their visits always included an outing and treats..  She was affiliated with the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.

She was the widow of John W.  Davis, whom she married January 27, 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1999.

She is survived by  Daughter- Alice M. wife of  Robert Way, Bedford; Son- William J. husband of  Pat Weyant, Bedford; Daughter- Pauline S. wife of  John Nicodemus, Bedford; Son- Earl H. husband of  Bonnie Von Stein, Manns Choice; Son- Carl W. husband of  Eleanor Brown, Bedford; Son- Clarence L. who was his Mother's caregiver., Bedford; Sister- Pauline widow of  Ralph Ferguson.  Eight grandchildren - Ronnie & Rodney Nicodemus, Susan Smyers, Earl , Levi, Bobbie Jo & Holly Davis, and Carly Sipe.   Two step-grandchildren - Rebecca & Matthew Mundroff, along with 4 Great-grandchildren - Bryan, Kevin, Maddux & James, Five step-great- grandchildren - Morgan, Michaela, Dakota, Wyatt & Coltan.  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter - Stevi Wynn Davis & a great-granddaughter - Kayla Ann.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg,. at 11:00  AM on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011,  with Pastor Daniel Oldham, officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park .

Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2 to 4 & 6 to 8  PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
