Mr. Marvin E. Hoffman, Jr., 56, of Vine Street, Schellsburg died at 1:09 AM, Thursday, April 28th, 2011 at Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown.
 
 
 Mr. Hoffman was born in Roaring Spring,  on Thursday, September 9, 1954,  the son of the late Marvin E. Hoffman, Sr. and Pearl E. (Fink) Hoffman.
 
 
 He is survived by  Sister- Karen E. wife of  Pat Lawson, Utica, MI; Sister- Diana L. Hoffman, Altoona; Brother- Gary D. husband of  Deb (Clark) Hoffman, New Paris; Sister- Trish C. wife of  John Orbell, Schellsburg; Sister- Beverley K. Hoffman, Schellsburg; Sister- Gail E. wife of  Gary Stufft, New Paris.  He is also survived by two nieces, Marsha Hoffman and Jodie Allen and husband Riley, four nephews, Tim Hoffman, Cory Hoffman, Cody Stufft and Bruce Stufft, a great niece, Jaelynn Allen and two great nephews, Elijah DeHaven and Timmy Hoffman
 
 
 Marvin was a 1973 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.  He was employed for 29 years as a welder for L.B. Foster Company in Bedford.  Marvin was a social member of both the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440 and the Pleasantville VFW Post #9219.  He is also a member of the New Baltimore Sportsman's Club, the Shopmans Local #527 in Pittsburgh and the Bedford American Legion Post #113.  Marvin was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying both pursuits with friends and he loved spending time with his family.
 
 
 A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 30th, 2011 with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.
 
 
 Interment will be held at  Schellsburg Cemetery.
 
 
 Friends are invited to call on Friday from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
