Mary Grace Cornell, 93, formerly of Everett, of Bedford, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Bedford Post Acute, Bedford.
Mary was born in Three Springs on November 6, 1931, daughter of the late George and Viola (McClain) Fields.
On June 16, 1961, she married her husband W. Max Cornell, who preceded her
in death on May 23, 2000.
She is survived by daughter- Marcia wife of Michael Stigile, of Missouri; son- Mark husband of Karla (Morales) Cornell, of Martinsburg; daughter- Michele wife of Mark Turner, of Bedford; six grandchildren: Mike, Marissa, Tim, Matthew, Ben, and Jessica; six great-grandchildren; sister- Violet Haun, of FL.
Mary is preceded in death by infant son, step-grandson- Chad Edmundson; and siblings: Alice Fields, Elsie Clippinger, Raymond Fields, Jesse Fields, Verna Fields, and Glenn Fields.
She enjoyed sewing, scrap booking, coloring, cooking, canning and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary was a faithful member of the Everett Church of God for over 70 years, taught Sunday School to many generations of children, and served in various other areas of the church. She and her late husband, Max, were long time generous supporters of Missionary Margaret Gaines, who founded the Aboud Elementary School in Eastern Israel in 1970.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Everett Church of God, 11152 Lincoln Highway, Everett, PA 15537. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 12 PM at Everett Church of God with Bishop Michael Stigile and Reverend John Kisner officiating. Interment will be at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford, PA.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bedford Post Acute for their compassionate loving care towards Mary and the UPMC Family Hospice for the extra level of personal care given.
