Michael T. Hess

Michael Todd Hess, 58, of New Buena Vista, Pennsylvania passed away after a courageous battle from brain cancer on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Windber Hospice Center, Windber.

He was born in York on October 22, 1965, son of the late Kenneth Hess and Mary Ann (Beltz) Hess, of Manns Choice.

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by sister- Sherry Malia, brother- Craig (Tammie) Hess; along with nieces and nephews: Brent (Nicole) Ross, Brooke Malia, Ryan (Amanda), William Hess, Kyle (Jessie), Zeke, Jade and Laney Hess. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Hess.

Michael was well loved by many friends from all over including Florida, West Virginia, New York, and New Jersey. He spent a lot of his time at Indian Lake. He cherished these times and memoires with his closest friends. At family gatherings he was known as the "Fun" uncle. His smile could light up any room.

He will be greatly missed by his family and all his friends.

A special thank you to the Windber Hospice Unit, and their entire staff. Their kindness and care was greatly appreciated. Also, to his home caregiver Nicole Ross.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Mickle Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 1 PM at Mickle Geisel Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating.

Interment will be at Schellsburg Cemetery, Schellsburg.
