Minnie B. (Morris) Whetstone
October 24, 1921 — December 30, 2012
Mrs. Whetstone was born in Clearville on Monday, October 24, 1921, the daughter of the late Jacob E. and Elmira (Smith) Morris.
On May 23, 1941, in Cumberland, MD, she married Herbert W. Whetstone. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2000.
She is survived by Daughter- Cynthia J. widow of Henry Price, Bedford; Son- Rev. Richard H. husband of Jean (Holler) Whetstone, Manns Choice; Daughter- Dianna Mae wife of John Holler, Oklahoma City, OK; Daughter- Yvonne wife of Steve Elliott, Manns Choice; Daughter- Jo Ellen wife of David Sprigg, Dillsburg; Daughter- Patricia wife of Jerry Rinoldi, Waynesville, GA; Daughter- Lisa wife of Dennis Pryor, Burke, VA; Sister- Beda Rose, Beallsville; Sister- Betty McCreary, Moorsville, IN. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine brothers, Alvah, Walter, Homer, Leonard, Melvin, Merle, Elmer, Charles and and infant brother, Donald and sister, Evelyn
Minnie was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God. She was employed at White Sulphur Springs, she was then employed as LPN at Smith's Rest Homes in Manns Choice and Clites Nursing Home in Bedford. Minnie will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Manns Choice Church of God, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Manns Choice Church of God.
