Mona F. Evans, 87, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at her home in Napier Township.

Mona was born in Helixville on February 15, 1938, daughter of the late Edward "Buss" and Ethel (Manges) Hinson.

She is survived by husband- George Shannon Evans, of Schellsburg; daughter- Linda wife of Lew Schwartz, of Baltimore, MD; son- Geary husband of Laurie (Stains) Weyant, of Alum Bank; son- George husband of Terri (Gregory) Evans, of WY; son- Kevin husband of Paula (Patrick) Evans, of MD; son- Todd husband of Lisa (Newsome) Evans, of Schellsburg; along with 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mona is also survived by sisters: Dorothy Berry, of Schellsburg; and Marian Mowry, of Somerset.

Mona was affiliated with the Shawnee Valley Ambulance Hall for numerous years and loved working the Street Fair with the Shawnee Valley Fire Department.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 10-11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg with Pastor Christopher Mowry officiating.

Interment will be at Helixville Cemetery, Schellsburg, PA.
