Nancy C. (Mellott) Calhoun

Mrs. Nancy C. Calhoun, 65, of Everett, died Monday, April 17th, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.


Mrs. Calhoun was born in Everett on April 14, 1952, the daughter of Robert F. Mellott of Everett and the late Lou Jean (Locke) Mellott.


On March 24, 1979, she married Glenn J. Calhoun. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2012.


In addition to her father, she is survived by Son- Shawn R. husband of Erin (Conrad) Geller, Bedford; Step Son- Travis husband of Candie (Clark) Calhoun, Everett; Grandchildren- Trevor Calhoun, Reuben Calhoun, Emily Geller & Sophia Geller; Brother- Bobby husband of Lois (Dunlap) Mellott, Washington; Brother- George K. husband of Robin (Foor) Mellott, Breezewood; Brother- Danny L. husband of Theresa (Hillegass) Mellott, Everett; Sister- Penny wife of Rusty Snyder, Everett.


Nancy was a member of the Everett Church of God. She graduated the Altoona Career & Technology Center, earning her LPN license. Nancy was employed as a nurse at Pennknoll Village. She previously was a DOM Care Provider for 10 years and had worked as a Nurse's Aid at Bedford Memorial Hospital. Nancy enjoyed crocheting, shopping with her sister, going to the Bedford Races and vacationing at the beach with her family. Her greatest love was spending time with her beloved grandchildren and treasured any time she was with her family. Nancy was a loving and kind mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend and she will be greatly missed.


A funeral service will be held at Everett Church of God at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 21st, 2017 with Rev. William Kisner officiating
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.


Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Everett and Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Everett Church of God.
