Nina Louise Hayhurst Turner, of Manns Choice, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 3, 2026. She leaves behind a devoted family who loved her deeply and countless cherished memories filled with laughter, warmth, and strength.
Nina was known for her kind and caring nature, balanced with a proud and unmistakable stubborn streak. Once she set her mind to something, it was rarely swayed-an inner strength that helped shape the remarkable woman she was. She loved to laugh, appreciated a good sense of humor, and had a smile that could brighten any room.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures: watching hummingbirds, tending to her flowers, spending time with her beloved dog, Bear, and being surrounded by her family. Family was the center of Nina's world, and she took immense pride in each generation that followed her.
Nina dedicated many years of service to Rouser's Rest Home in Manns Choice, where her natural compassion and kindness touched the lives of countless residents. Caring for others was more than her profession-it was a reflection of her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Leo Turner; her parents, Ruth Ellen and Freeman Fairfield Hayhurst; her daughter, Jody Felix; and her brothers, Willard Hayhurst and Freeman Hayhurst.
Nina is survived by her children: Donald Turner husband of Patsy, of Everett; Thomas Turner husband of Christina, of Bedford; Doug Turner husband of Dawn, of Naples, FL; Jeanne Hershberger wife of David, of Bedford; as well as her son-in-law- Tim Felix, of Manns Choice. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Nina Louise Hayhurst Turner will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering strength, joyful spirit, and her appreciation for the quiet beauty of everyday life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg; with a viewing at 9 AM until the hour of service.
