Paul E. Horner Jr., 89, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. 

Paul was born April 15, 1937 in Roaring Springs, PA, son of the late Paul E. Horner Sr. and Mildred (Ayers) Horner. He married Wilma Diehl on June 22, 1962. They were deeply devoted to each other for 58 years until Wilma's passing. They had one son, David, who was their pride and joy. 

Paul was a man of faith, and lifelong member at Point Fellowship Church. He was also a proud veteran of the USMC. He was an invested husband, father, and grandfather and loved to tease. He patterned a life of faith, generosity, and resilience. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, brother, and great-granddaughter. 

He is survived by his daughter-in-law Joanna (LaFave), six grandchildren- Diane (Anthony) Weaver, Jerald (Bethany), Loretta (Brad) Miller, Janelle (Kevin) Wollman, Brendan (Liz), Jessica- 15 great-grandchildren, a brother, and nieces and nephews. 

Paul lived independently at home until one week prior to his passing. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to his local community who made this possible by visiting him and bringing him meals. 

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5-7 PM and on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 945 AM to 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford.
