Rachel E. (Karns) Riggle

Rachel Ellen Riggle, 85, of Bedford, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2023 at her home on Industrial Ave.

Rachel was born in Bedford on June 6, 1938, daughter of the late William A. and Catherine (Bagley) Karns.

On August 28, 1984, she married her husband Joel C. Riggle who preceded her in death on April 6, 2020.

She is survived by son- James husband of Hannah Weicht, of Portland, OR.; daughter- Shirley L. Mahoney, of Kenosha, WI.; daughter- Lisa R. Marple, boyfriend Wendell Friday, of Bedford; son- Quintin husband of Katherine Weicht, of TX.; step-son, Robert Andrew Riggle, of Indiana; step-daughter, Karen L. Wagner, of Indiana; grandchildren: Jeremy Grimes husband of Analyn, of Bedford; Richard Weicht, of Portland, OR.; Jessica Cresbo-Weicht wife of John Cresbo, of Puerto Rico; Cori Mahoney, of WI.; Jordan Mahoney, of WI.; Cody Weicht, of TX.; Savanah wife of Joey Rowe, of TX.; and Katelyn  Sunga, of TX.; great-grandchildren: James, John Jr.; Johan James, Camden, Jaylon, and Payton. Rachel is preceded in death by brothers: Richard, Paul, Charles, Teddy, Harry, James, Tommie, Jerry, Perry, Coy, and sister Edith B. Bingham and granddaughter Mandy R. Grimes.

Rachel worked at the Toy Shop at Old Bedford Village, making Indian Crafts. She was on the Board of Bedford Arts Council, PA Guild Craftsman, and enjoyed doing pottery, weaving baskets and making carved wood dolls.

At the request of the family services will be private.

Interment will be at Sweet Root Cemetery.
