Ray A. Miller

Ray A. Miller, 82, of New Paris, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at UPMC Altoona Hospital, Altoona, PA.

Ray was born in Bedford on August 15, 1940, son of the late Verwin Miller and Beulah (Shaulis) Miller.

He is survived by wife- Joan (Hobba) Miller, of New Paris; daughter- Sharon wife of Raymond Webb, of New Paris; granddaughters: Alisha McDaniel and Haley Webb; sister- Eileen Tanzey, of Ryot; brother- John Miller, of Osterburg; sister- Barbara Slagle, of GA; sister- Charlotte Brunty, of TX; brother- Sam Miller, of PA.; sister- Patsy Wiley, of GA. Ray was preceded in death by son- Craig Allen Miller, and brothers: Jim Miller and Charlie Miller.

He worked construction and was employed at the Windber Medical Center until he retired. He was avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing, and in his youth enjoyed trapping, he was also a member of the Chestnut Ridge Bow and Gun Club.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10-11 AM at Horne Church in Alum Bank.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 11 AM at Horne Church and Cemetery with Pastor Ellen Kia officiating.
Interment will be at Horne Church Cemetery, Alum Bank, PA.
