Rev. Ralph A. Mickel
October 23, 1910 — November 9, 2015
Rev. Mickel was born in Windber on Sunday, October 23, 1910, the son of the late George and Bertie (Lamborn) Mickel.
In 1933, he married Lillian A. (Burkett) Mickel. She preceded in him in death on August 19, 1979. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Mabel "Dolly" Mickel.
He is survived by Son- Ronald Mickel husband of Jane, Eau Claire, WI; Son- Dr. Hubert Mickel husband of Julie, Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Frank & Robert and by sisters, Alice, Irene, Gladys & Rosella and by a half sister, Verna.
Rev. Mickel was an Evangelist Minister from 1948 - 1972. He attended Asbury College and was the clergy at the EUB in Cumberland, MD, Bridgeton, NJ, Deepwater, NJ, Frostburg, MD and Indian Head, MD. He attended the Ryot Church of the Nazarene and pastored at the Church of the Nazarene in Allentown.
Ralph was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend and he will be missed greatly .
A Graveside service will be held at Mount Union Cemetery Lovely on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating.
