Richard C. Hinson, 69, of Hinson Road, New Paris died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hinson was born in New Paris on January 30, 1950, son of the late John W. and Rosabelle "Rosie" (Mock) Hinson.
On December 30, 1972 Richard married Roxan L. (Mihelcic) Hinson.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Britt wife of Gary Savage, Bedford; Son- Shane R. husband of Sonya (Magill) Hinson, New Paris; Grandchildren Avery, Benjamin, and Sidney; Brother- W. Roy husband of Beverly (Rodemaker) Hinson, Mount Holly Springs; Sister- Margaret wife of Rayford Williams, Harrisburg; Sister- Judy L. wife of Ted Davis, New Paris.
Dick was self-employed and the owner of John Hinson Plumbing, Heating and Electrical.
He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Dick was a member of the Pleasantville VFW Post #9219.
He was a member of New Paris United Methodist Church.
Dick enjoyed riding horses but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 18, 2019 with Rev. Charles Shaffer officiating.
Interment at Cuppett Cemetery, New Paris.
