Richard "Rick" S. Griffith

Richard "Rick" S. Griffith, 68, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Bedford on July 13, 1955, son of the late James and Lucille (Mowry) Griffith.

He is survived by daughter- Nicole Price (Jesse Peters), son- RJ Griffith (Amber McGill), son- Elijah Griffith, son- Tyler Griffith (Kimberly Pittman), five grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his sister- Judy wife of Daniel Harrison, of Schellsburg; and three nieces. Rick is preceded in death by his parents, brother James and his dog CD.

Rick was a 1973 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. He worked many jobs throughout the years: International Gunite, Classic Contractors, Eastern Gunite, JT Thorpe, Alcoa, Koontz Trucking and Barron Trucking.

Rick was always ready for a good time, he liked to party with friends, dance, sing Karaoke and in recent years enjoyed lunches with his high school classmates. Rick loved the Raiders, Pirates and Kentucky Wildcats and like his teams, has had a couple rough seasons. He loved baseball, being a pitcher in fast pitch, his pool leagues and dart leagues.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 2-4 PM, at the Geisel-Styer Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 4 PM, at the Geisel-Styer Funeral Home, Schellsburg, with Richard Brown officiating.

In lieu of flowers, have a drink in Rick's memory.
