Richard D. Greenway, Sr.

Mr. Richard D. Greenway, Sr., 73, of Cider Road, Manns Choice, died Wednesday, April 13th, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Greenway was born in Baltimore, MD on July 30, 1942,  the son of the late William Durward and Freda Mae (Stewart) Greenway.

On August 4, 1962, he married Helen A. (Kearns) Greenway.   In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Richard D. Greenway, Jr., Martinsville, IN; Daughter- Suzanne E. Stingerie, McAllister, OK; Son- Steven J. Greenway, Baltimore, MD; Son- Brian E. Greenway, Granite Falls, NC; Sister- Marsha Frazier, Glen Burnie, MD. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Greenway.

Mr. Greenway retired from the US Air Force after 24 years of service.  He then went on to work for NASA.  Richard was a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440 and the Masonic Lodge #344 F&AM in Petoskey, MI.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 16th,  with Rev. Dr. Merle Correll officiating.

Military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
