Robert E. Boors, 68, of Bedford, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at UPMC Bedford.

Bob was born in Connellsville on February 19, 1958, son of John (Jack) and Carol J. (McCormick) Boors.

On December 28, 1988, he married his wife Lisa (Bulger), of Bedford.

He is survived by daughter- Stacy (Kevin) Ickes, of Everett; son- Josh (Chanda) Deputy, of New Paris; daughter- Kylee (Jeremy) Oldham, of Bedford; son- Bobby Boors, of Bedford; daughter- Amy (Mike) Turkovich, of Bedford; 13 grandchildren: Emily, Riley, Hailey, Dominic, Kooper, Asher, Alayna, Adric, Kohyn, Ezra, Elijah, Michael, Chloe; siblings: Kim (Steve) Allen, of New Columbia; Carla widow of Tommy Leister, of Bedford; numerous nieces and nephews and dog pap to Stella.

At the age of 11 his family moved to the Philippines for 4 years. He learned to play tennis there and returned to Bedford in 1973, where he continued to play and became the 1st from Bedford to go to States. A graduate of Bedford in the 1976 class, he continued his education at WVU, and then started his career in hospitality working for his dad at KFC. He was the manager at Burger King, then 18 years at Marriott Travel Plaza, 19 years at Pilot Flying J Travel Plaza ending his career early from a long 8-year battle of cancer. He was a hard worker dedicated to his job; he opened several new stores and got numerous awards. Bob attended Bedford Bible Church and later followed Claysburg Bible Church with Pastor Keith Showalter.

He loved football and wrestling. He enjoyed watching his grandkids wrestle, he always looked forward to family vacations especially to the beach, he dearly loved his family and was proud of all them.

The family would like to thank his hospice team, Jada Kagarise, Brenda Sechrengast, Stacey Clark, Krista Swindell, Dr. Clark, Dr. Swindell, Vicki Lathero, Lori Diehl and Debbie. Another special thank you to the Bedford ER and UPMC Staff, Dr. Horton, Dr. Curvin, all the Doctors and nurses did an amazing job! Bob will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

At the request of Bob, a private funeral service will be held with Pastor Keith Showalter officiating

Interment will be at Everett Cemetery, Everett.
