Robert H. Leppert

Mr. Robert H. Leppert, 82, of S. Richard St., Bedford, died Saturday, December 26th, 2015 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. Leppert was born in Schellsburg on Monday, May 1, 1933,  the son of the late Earl and Leona (Fleegle) Leppert.

In 1958, he married Rose (Reiley) Leppert.  she preceded him in death on June 6, 1982.  Then on March 5, 1983, he married Doris Jane (Foster) Leppert.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Gordon husband of  Barbara Leppert, Texas; Son- Kerry Leppert, Everett; Son- Brendan husband of Maria Leppert, Duncansville; Step Son- Johnny W. husband of  Dana McIntyre, Bedford; Step Daughter- Tracey wife of  Robert Shontz, Bedford; Sister- Ellen wife of  Robert Mitchell, Alum Bank; Sister- Audrey Faulders, Illinois; Sister- Carol Siggler, Texas; Sister- Jane Smith, Schellsburg; Sister- Margaret Robertson, Manns Choice; Brother- Henry husband of  Carol Leppert, New Paris. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Jason, Alexandra & Coraline, 3 step grandchildren, Reese, Emmaline & Ben,  5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by a brother Harry and two sisters, Annette & June.

Bob served in the US Army from 1953-1955.  He was employed for 63 years as a truck driver, first driving for Blackburn & Russell and then for Studabaker-Swift Transportation.  Bob was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge #480 and a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440 .  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, reading and playing bingo. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be missed.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Fishertown Cemetery with graveside military rites accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
