Rodney L. Geisel

Rodney L. Geisel, 91, of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2025 at his home in Schellsburg.

Rodney was born in Windber on February 12, 1934, son of the late Herbert and Catherine (Holsinger) Geisel.

On October 23, 1956, he married his wife Janet (Thomson) Geisel, of Schellsburg.

He is survived by son- Douglas husband of Melinda (Miller) Geisel, of Indiana, PA; daughter- Cynthia Jean wife of Dave Miller, of Schellsburg; two grandchildren: Aimee (Ryan), Steven (Savannah); and two great-grandchildren: Kelsi and Ellixandra; brother- Dennis Geisel, of NY. Rodney is preceded in death by siblings: Robert, Clinton, Kenneth, Lydia, Arwilda, Addie and Mildred.

Rodney served his country in the United States Army. He and his wife Janet, owned and operated the Winery in Schellsburg, for numerous years. Rodney was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 plus years and was Council Chapter and Commandry.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 2 PM, at Richland Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.

Interment will be at Richland Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.

Military rites accorded to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
