IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ruby G.
Cooper
February 23, 1942 – March 6, 2026
I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. :2 Timothy 4:7
Ruby Gail (Mock) Cooper, born on February 23, 1942 in Lovely, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026.
She was the daughter of Vernon and Nellie (Feather) Mock, with whom she joins in heaven, along with her husband Larry, two infant sons, and brothers Leroy and Stanford. She now takes her rightful place with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ruby leaves behind her children, Lori Davis-Pedley and husband Steve, Lisa (Davis) Dawson and husband Gary. Grandchildren: Kayla Dawson and fiancé Ty McGregor, Brandon Dawson husband of Kaylee, and great-granddaughter- Addison Dawson; siblings: Mike Mock husband of Doris, Elda Benna wife of Ted, Patsy McCreary, Wendy Swanger wife of Mitch, sister-in-law- Cathy Mock and many nieces, nephews, family and friends, whom she loved.
Ruby was commissioned by God to be an Evangelist for his name sake. She was a leader of the women's ladies aid, youth group, summer bible school programs and Sunday School teacher for youth and adults. She wrote many children's Sunday School lessons and Christmas programs.
She also started many women's bible studies and invited people in to her home to study God's word. That work continued after moving to the Graystone in Altoona after her husband's passing and as her own health declined. She once told us that her mom asked her to be sure all her family was saved. Through adversity, in her personal life, loss of loved ones, financial constraint, suffering with cancer, and immense pain, she never wavered in her trust and faith in God.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice, caregivers at Graystone Manor Assisted Living, and devoted friends Sandy Neal, Lori Beegle, and Diane Feather.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ruby G. Cooper to the donors' choice of charity.
