On July 28, 1955, she married Robert Mock. They had one daughter, Penny Rankin, who is married to Alan Rankin and resides in LaPorte, TX. In September 2012, Shirley married Paul Allison. Shirley was accepted by Paul's family as their "adopted" Mom and Gram. They are Paulette (Keith) Fleegle, Tim Allison, and Terry (Tabitha) Allison. Their children are Keisha (Cole) Over & Kyra, Charlotte, and Hadley Allison. Shirley was preceded in death by Paul on June 7, 2022.

Shirley was also preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Louella Statler, and step brothers, Bob and Bruce Statler. She is the last of her siblings and their spouses: Dorothy Warner (married to Ray), Betty Allison (married to Bud), and Willie (married to Jeannie); as well as her nephew, Barry Stufft. Shirley is survived by 6 nieces and 4 nephews: Jack Allison, Patty Leslie, Cathy Mock, Sherry Rose, Betty Shankle, Dwight Lamburn, Lorraine Deremer, Willie Ray Lamburn, Kirby Lamburn, and Holly Fleegle

Shirley's education began with five yrs at Spruce Hollow and Hoover one-room schools, then 1 yr. at Bedford High School, and 5 yrs. at the Windber High School. She worked for 4 yrs. at the sewing factory in Everett until she and Bob started MOCKS TV. They ran the TV sales and service business together for 40 yrs. before retiring. Bob's passion was playing his guitar so Shirley joined him by playing bass and she said they made a lot of great friends and good memories through music. They had a group by the name of Bedford County Grass. Many times, musicians gathered at their house to play Blue Grass and they also sang at festivals, churches, etc. Shirley also enjoyed traveling, going for walks in nature, and drives to look at colored leaves; but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loved ones.

Her Christian faith was a very important part of her life. She was a very active member of the Mt. Union Church of Lovely where she was a Sunday School teacher, choir member, part of singing group by name of Julilares, and helped in many other ways. Shirley could talk to anyone and was always willing to help anyone she could, in any way she could. Her caring and love for others was quite evident and she always had extra people at her house. All were welcomed. She touched and blessed the lives of MANY. She loved much AND was much loved. She was bound to hear "WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT" when she arrived to heaven.

The family would like to thank the staff of UPMC Home Health and UPMC Hospice for their care and help over the last year. Even they would easily see what a special lady she was and we appreciated them.
