Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas "Jeff" Davidson, 64, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at UPMC Altoona Hospital following a brief illness. Jeff was born in Wellsboro, PA on February 6, 1962, the son of Kenneth "Pat" Davidson and Beverly (James) Davidson.

Jeff was a 1980 graduate of Bedford High School and held various jobs in Bedford County throughout his life. He was affiliated with St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford and was a member of Bedford Moose Lodge 480.

Jeff enjoyed the simple pleasures of listening to his vast library of music, hanging out with family and friends, shopping, sporting events, festivals and camping. Music was likely his voice, his comfort and his way of connecting with life. Though a man of few words, those who knew him appreciated his occasional comments and humor.

Jeff is survived by siblings Kenneth Davidson, of Bedford; Shawn (Julie) Davidson of Bedford; Shannon (Brooke) Shaffer of Schellsburg; stepfather Perry Shaffer of Schellsburg; nieces Beverly (Angel) Talavera and Kayla Davidson; nephews Michael (Elena) Wood and Maddox and Lincoln Shaffer.

Jeff was preceded in death by parents Kenneth "Pat" Davidson and Beverly (James) Shaffer, as well as stepmother Carolee Davidson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 2:00pm at Geisel-Styer Funeral Home, Bedford. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bedford Food Pantry.
