Mr. Warren A. College, 87, of Mallard Drive, Bedford, died Friday, April 14th, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. College was born in Springhope, Schellsburg on Friday, July 12, 1929,  the son of the late Andrew and Julia (Smith) College.

He is survived by  Son- Randy husband of Rita (Mortimore) College, Schellsburg; Daughter- Lorie wife of Todd Wareham, Schellsburg; Grandson- Jesse husband of Gisele (Winegardner) College, Bedford; Grandson- Matthew husband of Courtney (Slagle) College, Ebensburg; Granddaughter-  Nicole (Wareham) wife of Wayne Robertson, Bedford; Granddaughter-  Kelsey Wareham, Schellsburg; Great Grandchildren- Jack & Jase College, Carson Robertson and a great granddaughter due in May; Brother- Eldon College, Chambersburg; Sister- Mary Anna  Beckwith, Archbold, OH; Brother- Donald  College, Schellsburg; Sister- Hilda Sutton, Archbold, OH.  Warren is also survived by his former wife, Genevieve College of Manns Choice.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Owen College.

Warren attended Point School and was a member of the Point United Methodist Church and affiliated with the Point Church of the Brethren.   He served in the US Army with the Military Police from 1955-1957.  Mr. College was a lifelong farmer and carried a love for the land in his heart.  He began farming with his grandfather in Springhope until he was called into the service.  After returning from serving with the Army, he continued to farm and also worked at the Esso Station at the Turnpike Interchange.  Warren then began driving truck for B&P and then for Suwak.  After retiring from Suwak, he worked for Chet Claar as a caretaker of properties.   Warren loved John Deere and was an avid Steelers and NASCAR fan.  He was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and he will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 with Pastor Rick Ralph officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
