William Harvey Adkins III, beloved son, brother, and follower of Christ, passed away on October 21, 2025, at his family's cherished farm in Clearville, Pennsylvania. He was born in Maryland, where he began a life filled with faith, music, hard work, and deep love for his family.
William was a devoted follower of Christ and found peace in the Lord's presence. He worked as a lineman, known for his courage, strong will, and selfless heart. Outside of work, William's joy was found in the simple gifts of life - writing country blues songs, playing his guitar, sharing laughter, and working on the farm alongside his grandfather Leonard. His playful, "goofball" nature and warm smile could brighten anyone's day, and his compassion extended to every person and creature he met.
William's faith and love shaped all that he did. He cherished his family deeply, especially his mother, Julie Adkins ("Momma Dukes"), who was his guiding light and dearest friend. His life was a testament to kindness, courage, and the beauty of simple living - a reminder that love, laughter, and gratitude are the truest measures of a good heart.
He is survived by his mother, Julie Adkins; his sisters, Jennifer McCartney (Jenny Penny Rosebud), Destiny Adkins, and Alexis Adkins; and his grandfathers, Leonard Adkins Sr. and Ron Becker. He was preceded in death by his father, William Adkins II, and grandmothers Ethel Adkins and Marge Becker.
Though deeply missed, William's spirit lives on in every song, smile, and moment of grace he left behind. His family finds comfort knowing he has gone home to the Lord, surrounded by peace and eternal light.
"But godliness with contentment is great gain." - 1 Timothy 6:6
(For he found joy not in riches, but in the simple blessings of faith, love, and life.)
